Gosh, I had big feet for a little girl.
This picture pretty much sums me up. The clothes tell you I was born in the 60s. I like frilly, girly dresses sometimes. But I never liked fussy hairstyles, hence I am no longer a chestnut brunette with red highlights. My colorist, God, has gifted me with silver tresses that don’t need color.
I had a happy U.S. Rustbelt childhood. I left the midwest in early adulthood, not because I disliked it, but because I wanted an adventure. I still, in many ways, relate most easily to other Rustbelters. But there’s a spot in my heart for Texas and Bolivia and Arizona, which have been big parts of my life. I now make my home with other desert rats in metro Phoenix.
I don’t know who is behind the camera on this but I liked talking to grown-ups from a very young age. I just liked talking. I like people but sometimes have to be alone to recharge.
I’m guessing this is an Easter dress. I love Jesus and don’t remember ever thinking God wasn’t real. I sometimes didn’t understand Him or like Him very much, and I have been the prodigal daughter at times, but He has always waited on my to come to my senses.
I have loved reading and writing and general creating. So I grew up to do the things I like best and even make a living at it. Reading, writing, talking, and relating have taken me all over the world, to places most people can’t spell or locate on a map. I love my life and can’t wait to see what’s just around the bend.
